SBCC California Virtual Campus / Online Education Initiative

Welcome to Santa Barbara City College (SBCC)! 

We are excited to serve you as a California Virtual College (CVC) Exchange Student. Please read carefully as this message contains information that is important while you are with us. 

For courses that you are completing through the CVC Exchange while enrolled at another college, SBCC is considered your teaching college and your primary college is considered your home college.

You will access your SBCC courses through your home college Canvas account. Once logged in, you will see your SBCC course in the course navigation and on your Canvas dashboard.

To access additional Santa Barbara City College resources (email, student resources, payment-related items, and more), please log into our new portal, mySBCC.

When logging in for the first time, you will need to reset your password here.

Click "Forgot Password” on the login screen and enter the required information to reset your password (First Name, Last Name, Birthdate (mmddyy), and the last four digits of your CCCID.

If you need help with course/educational planning, please be sure to connect with a counselor at your home college. 

If you have received or currently receive academic accommodations (i.e.  adjustments, auxiliary aids, or services) from the disability services office at your home college, please note those services do not automatically transfer to SBCC courses.  If you believe you need disability services for this course, please click here to apply to the SBCC Disability Programs and Services (DSPS) program. Please make sure to identify yourself as a CVC Exchange Student. 

If you have been approved for or are eligible for federal financial aid at your home college, please contact the Financial Aid Office at your home college. For options to pay your fees, please visit the CVC Exchange, and select "Payment Options".
