Information for students about spring 2022 classes.
From January 18 - February 22 lectures and labs may be online, hybrid or meet differently
than during the remainder of the semester. This is for everyone's safety and in response
to the increase in cases of COVID-19.
It is very important that you check your Pipeline email for updates from your instructors.
• If your lab was scheduled to be on campus, you will still be meeting in the lab
room for at least some of the time. Your instuctor will email the details to you.
• BioSci lectures that are scheduled on campus may be offered online. Lectures are
more likely to be synchronous so it is important that you plan on attending the Zoom
lecture at the time the on-campus lecture was scheduled. Some professors may allow
students to attend their live Zoom recordings. This is the students who are scheduled,
on campus lab in that class on that same day. Other instructors are asking their students
to attend one of their bi-weekly lectures (so each lecture has 50% capacity).

Lecture: Lectures will be taught by Fischer F2F in the normally scheduled slot (12:45-2:05, EBS 309) with that day's lab students only; lectures will also be recorded, and students from a different day's lab will watch this recording asynchronously online. This applies to CRNs 63217 (lab taught by Betancourt), 63218, 64098, and 64595 (labs taught by Fischer).
Lab: Face to face at the scheduled time
• Fischer, Betancourt, and Gillespie are considering offering these lab sections to only half the students at a time, repeating each lab in this way twice, to limit the number of students in the lab. If we do this, previously made movies of the labs that don't get taught will be viewed by students asynchronously online.58810,
