Welcome
What We Do
Assessment of your skills in mathematics and English helps you achieve your goals in college by placing you into classes in which you will be successful.
If you are a first-time-in-any-college student with a goal of Associate Degree, transfer, or basic English/math skills (as reported on your application), you are required to be assessed in both math and English or English as a Second Language before registering for classes. English or Math testing may also be required for students seeking to meet a specific course prerequisite.
From the Assessment Help site you may access detailed information about completing Assessment at Santa Barbara City College, including Frequently Asked Questions, Alternatives to Testing, Sample Test Questions, Drop-In Testing Hours, ESL Assessment, Prerequisite Help, and understanding your Test Results.
