Letter from ACCJC Reaffirming Accreditation (Word file)
The accreditation process is a continuous process and every six years our accreditation status is evaluated and re-affirmed by the Accrediting Commission of Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), a division of WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges.)
Currently, we are actively in the process of self-evaluation and study of our standards, practices and policies, by which we are collecting documents, evidence, assessing data and information, to gain a comprehensive perspective of our college's effectiveness, quality, and assurances to meeting our highest educational expectations. The findings of our extensive institutional self-study are assembled into a comprehensive report for submission to the ACCJC.
Accreditation provides assurance to the public, as well as our institution, that we are meeting these standards, practices, and improvements while maintaining the highest quality of higher education.
Our institutional commitment to student learning and achievement is primary as is our mission and responsiveness to student, faculty, administrators and our community. Evaluation is a critical component to improving and measuring our effectiveness as an institution.
