Welcome to SBCC Women's Golf
Home of the 2006 & 2008 State Champions
SBCC captured its second state title in three years on Nov. 18, 2008 at Olivas Links in Ventura behind a 2-over-par 74 from freshman Asaka Sim, the state Player of the Year. The Vaqueros, who were state champs in 2006 and state runner-ups in 2007, started the day four shots off the lead and recorded a season-best 311 to finish 15 strokes ahead of Sacramento City.
In 2006, the Vaqueros beat WSC rival Canyons by 60 strokes in the 36-hole state final at Fresno. Natalie Todd was the WSC MVP in 2007 and the individual State Champion in 2006, edging teammate and two-time WSC player of the year Victoria Alimonda by one stroke.
The Women's Golf program offers a unique opportunity for the student-athlete.
Team members get to play and practice at top local golf courses. They also have the opportunity to compete at many of the best courses in Southern California.
The college is located in one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. The campus sits across from the Pacific Ocean and prides itself with a rich tradition of academics and athletics. More than 17,000 students are enrolled at SBCC, where you'll find a challenging academic climate and a direct transfer program to UCSB.
If you're a serious golfer looking for a quality education, you should consider SBCC Women's Golf.
