TRAVEL & HOUSING

AIR TRANSPORTATION.  You will be required to make your own flight arrangements for this program since the group flight deadline has passed.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS.  If you withdraw from the program prior to departure, you must notify the Study Abroad Office and TRC in writing.  You may send an e-mail to sullwold@sbcc.edu and an e-mail to jim@tourresource.com. For TRC cancellation charges, please refer to their General Information and Conditions attached to the SBCC Application Procedures sheet. Your cancellation for your airfare is to be handled directly with the airline making your flight arrangements and are subject to their conditions. 

HOUSING.  El Centro Panamericano de Idiomas language school arranges home stays with Costa Rican families.  The housing coordinator does the best job possible to place you with a compatible family.  Not all your requests may be met.  Please be flexible.  Most families have hosted students in the past.  When you live with a host family in Heredia, you will have a single bedded room.  When you are on the overnight trips and in the Flamingo Beach area, you will share a room with twin beds.  There is a charge of $250 for a single room on the overnight trips and in Flamingo Beach.
