Santa Barbara men’s tennis has a strong reputation for excellence in the classroom and on the courts. The Vaquero men captured their first State Championship in 1989.
Since the 1970s, SBCC has produced strong, competitive squads that focus on the overall effort of the student-athlete as opposed to the outcome. Student-athletes are challenged, in a positive and supportive environment, to strive for their individual and team goals. Developing a strong character is a key component of SBCC’s model of success.
Don Lowry, who had great success as the men's tennis coach at UCSB, is in his fifth season as head coach of the Vaqueros.
