Description:
The Disabled Student Program and Services department provides a multipurpose lab for student use.
In order to use the Assistive Technology Center (ATC), individuals with disabilities must meet DSPS eligibility requirements.

Purpose:
Assistive technology and tutorial lab
Tutors offer individualized strategies instruction to support you in your SBCC classes. You will learn effective study methods for reading, writing, calculating, problem solving, note- taking, studying, test preparation, and staying organized. Please bring your assignments with you.

Kurzweil 3000 (text to voice software for learning disabilities)
Inspiration (pre-writing software)
Dragon Naturally Speaking (speech recognition)
Jaws (screen reader for Windows)
ZoomText Xtra (screen magnification for Windows)
Kurzweil 1000 (scan/read software for visual impairments)
OptelecColor CCTV (video magnifier for the visually impaired)
Ergonomic adaptations (input devices, keyboards and adjustable tables)
