What We Do

Santa Barbara City College is a member of the Santa Barbara Consortium of the California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP). Cal-SOAP is a statewide program designed to increase the number of students attending college.

The program serves middle, high school and community college students who are:

from low-income families
will be the first in their family to attend college
are from areas or schools with low eligibility or college participation rates.
The Santa Barbara Cal-SOAP serves schools in the Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria areas.
