Transportation & Housing
Transportation
All SBCC students registered in on-campus classes may ride the Metropolitan Transit District (MTD) bus. Beginning one week prior to the start of the semester, students can ride by simply showing their student ID when boarding the bus, (except for the Waterfront Shuttle). Bus routes and schedules are available at http://sbmtd.gov
Parking
SBCC students who intend to park a vehicle (four-wheeled) on campus must purchase a parking permit. Parking permits may be purchased online and can be picked up at the Cashier's Office (Student Services Building, SS-150). For information on permit types and rates refer to SBCC Parking.
Need housing?
SBCC does not offer on-campus housing. However, if you have not already secured housing, you are invited to visit the SBCC website www.sbcc.edu/housing, which offers a number of resources: property management companies, apartment complexes, shared housing and roommate referral services. We also work with two privately owned Residence Halls that provide room and board to SBCC students.
We encourage you to review our housing website and then contact us with any questions or concerns. Call Amy Collins, Student Program Advisor, for tips and advice as you begin to locate housing in the Santa Barbara area. You can reach Amy at (805) 730-4062 or you may email her at housing@sbcc.edu.
